🌸 Caring for Your Wedding Gown 🌸

A gentle guide for our beautiful bride-to-be

Dearest Bride,

Congratulations on your upcoming big day!

Your gown is more than just fabric – it’s a little piece of magic stitched with love and dreams.

To keep it looking flawless for your walk down the aisle, here are a few simple guidelines:

1. Storing Your Gown

  • Keep your gown in the garment bag provided and store it in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and moisture.

  • If your gown has a long train, hang the gown on a high rack, unzip the bottom part of the garment bag, and let the train fall out. This will make sure the train doesn't get wrinkled for staying too long in the garment bag.
  • Always hang it by the inner loops (never the straps) so the shape stays perfect.

2. Handling with Care

  • Wash your hands before touching your gown – it loves clean hands.

  • Avoid eating, drinking, or applying makeup/hair spray too close to it. You can wear a button up shirt over the gown when you are doing the hair and make up.

  • If you need to move it, gently lift from the hem to keep it pristine.

3. Wrinkles & Freshening Up

  • Your gown is already pressed and ironed nicely before we pack it in the garment bag. Usually, it doesn't require final ironing.
  • But, in the rare occassion where ironing is required, please don’t iron your gown and veil with press iron. We have seen many accidents with press iron causing holes on the veil and gown.

  • Instead, use a steamer for a final freshen-up before your big day. If steaming at home, use low heat and keep the steamer a few inches away to avoid water spots.

4. Veil & Accessories

  • Store your veil and accessories in their own protective bags.

  • Keep jewelry away from delicate lace or tulle..

5. Emergency Wedding Day Kit

It’s always wise to have a mini emergency kit on hand:

  • Safety pins & fashion tape

  • A small sewing kit with matching thread

  • Fabric-safe stain wipes

  • Extra hairpins

6. Traveling with Your Gown

  • Lay the gown flat across the backseat of the car if possible.

  • If traveling long distance, keep the gown in the garment bag and hang it up immediately upon arrival.

7. After the Wedding

  • For rental gown, simply place it back in the garment bag and return as instructed – no cleaning needed.

✨ With these little steps, your gown will be picture-perfect when you say “I do.”

We can’t wait to see you shine on your wedding day! ✨

With love,
